Tangerine Dream @ London
"The world's leading synth band" (The New York Times), is back in town! Unleash your inner hippy and join Tangerine Dream on an audio-visual trip to celebrate 40 years of psychedelic music making, at their Zeitgeist Concert on 1st April at The Royal Albert Hall. This one-off UK concert marks 2 anniversary milestones for the Krautrock pioneers; they first performed at the Royal Albert Hall exactly 35 years ago to the day, and it is exactly 40 years since the release of their debut album, the genre defining Electronic Meditation. The show will feature material from four decades of classic Tangerine Dream, including some timeless highlights which have never been performed live before. As always, the legendary Tangerine Dream live experience will thrill the audience with groundbreaking lighting and special effects. The show will be filmed for a live DVD release later in the year. Froese says “Performing at the Royal Albert Hall is like being in the living room of Britain’s entertainment history - not a heartbeat away from it - it is the heartbeat!" Founder member Edgar Froese will perform with the following long-time collaborators from Vienna and Berlin; Linda Spa (sax, flute, keyboards), Iris Camaa (percussion, V-drums), Bernhard Beibl (guitar) and Thorsten Quaeschning (keyboards).
