It’s a blistering evening in London and as sweaty faces gather outside the London Scala, it seems a strangely eclectic crowd are forming for this evening’s performance.

There’s a fair few support acts warming the stage for Grog and the guys this evening, which explains the oddly mixed audience. Although no act was particularly awful, it quickly became more of a school talent show. Band after band greeted the stage to play to an anxious, albeit restless crowd (with the exception of their own respective fan-bases). With bands varying from cheery punk-pop, to bluesy rock, right through to nu-metallar’s Black Sonic – there was no pleasing the growingly agitated Die So Fluid fans, perched along the balcony like hungry Vultures.

Their appetite is finally appeased, as Grog appears in a stunning cat-suit; followed by her band mates and as their industrial beauty unveils, the still crowd quickly transforms from a sparse underworld into a sweaty pit.  Grog’s presence is solid and her connection with the crowd is refreshing. Thundering through older tracks, ‘Happy Halloween’, ‘Existential Baby’ and ‘Pigsy’ the crowd are wooed by the chemistry of the trio and enticed into a swaying, hurling frenzy. Tonight shows how Die So Fluid manage to create something special and it seems effortless. Playing new tracks such as ‘Mecury’ show a steep progression in sound and collaboration as band members. Let’s hope that Grog gets her wish and Die So Fluid is further unleashed unto the world and ‘The World Is Too Big For One Lifetime’ makes its rightful mark.
